SeaWorld San Diego is one of the world's premier marine adventure parks with 200 acres of world-class shows, thrilling rides and unforgettable animal encounters. Known for up-close animal interactions, SeaWorld asked STC to join the renovation project for the famous Sea Lion and Otter Show.
Our work involved designing a new audio system taking into account that the speaker locations had been pre-determined based on the path the animals would travel during the show. Also to be considered was that the speakers needed to have the ability to be discreetly mounted into the set. Meeting all challenges, the final design features a three-channel Left/Center/Right speaker system plus multiple individual sound effects playback speakers. These marine animals are a highlight at SeaWorld making this a “must-see” show for all who visit San Diego.
