The collective input of congregation, spiritual leaders and design professionals devised a space to reflect the unique spirit and story of Arborlawn. Room shape follows the outline of the cross with modified angles to support a vibrant acoustical environment that immerses the congregation in an intimate and communal worship experience. Audio systems accommodate speech intelligibility with steerable speakers to keep energy off the walls and directed into the seating area. Supporting clean line aesthetics, A/V designers concealed speakers within the pulpit and podium to create effective sound imaging and hid catwalks within the ceiling Multi-discipline collaboration maximized value for the budget and enabled installation of a low noise HVAC system to allow stillness in the space to support moments of quiet reflection and prayer. What sets this sanctuary apart is its natural acoustics ideal for showcasing the church's music program encompassing a large choir, congregational singing and a new pipe organ . The space also serves as the Ft. Worth Symphony Orchestra's second home.
