Chestnut Ridge Church wanted to build a new worship facility to support it’s growing congregation and their Easter performances of an original play “The Passion”, which in 2007, “attracted a record audience of nearly 7,000 over a three day run.”
The new worship center has sloped and tiered seating to support the contemporary services and annual production. The room is also designed to be used as a conference center.
AD was asked to provide design assistance for room planning, acoustics, distributed video and audio, theatrical lighting, stage systems, production accommodations and audio systems. Chestnut Ridge uses video, live performance and contemporary music every week and succeeded in creating a dynamic space to bring their large congregation together and impact it’s visitors.
