Living Word Christian Center purchased a warehouse to be converted into a worship space. AD began the design process by working with the leadership to define their top programming priorities for the new facility. The dynamic profile of this ministry demanded a high degree of visual impact for services. Three large rear projection screens were designed into the platform area for supplemental visuals as well as IMAG video of platform activities. The ceiling structure was left exposed for flexible lighting. An extensive broadcast video ministry placed a high priority on sound system and video design, although it was equally important that the live service not be compromised to accommodate the video technology.
A wraparound balcony was provided in order to achieve the 2,400 seat count within the converted warehouse also improving visual intimacy to the platform. The existing shell construction was the primary challenge to the acoustics, due to the low roof, wide footprint and intermediate columns that had to remain in the design.
A multi-channel Left-Center-Right cluster design for the sound system was implemented to provide consistent coverage and impact for the entire congregation. Extensive on-stage monitoring systems were also designed and implemented.
