The new Pier 419 at Lake Pointe is a facility for cutting edge youth ministries. Over 1,000 students per week experience vibrant worship and teaching relevant to their daily lives. Those students, in turn, are having a positive impact on their friends in dozens of schools and around the world through yearly mission trips.
The name of the building is derived from the Bible verse found in Matthew 4:19, in which Jesus says, "Come, follow me and I will make you fishers of men." In keeping with the theme, the building is designed to look like a pier with weathered wood, decks and antique brick.
The innovative design includes an 800-seat auditorium and ample classroom space. Recreation features include a pair of three-on-three basketball cages, a skate park and a café. Other seating areas provide an environment that encourages conversation and relationships.
Because of the progressive ministry style of the church, the performance technology in the space required a high-degree of flexibility, integration, and planning for the future. EAW MQV2364 speakers provide concert quality support for high-energy youth worship. It's an alternating left-right system with dual 15" subwoofers providing impact to the system.
