Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas felt a call to expand their ministry to a second location in Prosper, Texas - an area, North of Plano, that is rapidly being transformed from farmland into a “vibrant, growing community”. Initially, the church family met in home groups and then moved to a local high school where servant-hearted members worked tirelessly every week to transform a gym into a place of worship. Almost 10 years after forming, the church has a campus to call home at Prestonwood North.
Their desire has been to provide the same programs as the main campus while completing construction with zero debt, requiring that the campus be built in phases. Phase one includes a 1,500-seat worship center, a youth activity room, two large children’s worship rooms and an Awana room. AD designed distributed audio and MATV systems for use throughout the facility and a basic A/V studio to support production for IMAG and systems to support bi-directional communication between the North and main campuses.
Teaching at Prestonwood North can be transmitted from the main campus to a screen that shows the speaker head to toe with IMAG flanking the stage. It can also accommodate a live teaching pastor, allowing the teaching to be transmitted back to the main campus in Plano.
